strange small satisfaction
i’m a slob. i will, without much thought, walk into a room and take my jacket off and put it on the floor, then there are closets or hangers within steps of where i am. This does not bother most folx here much, but it definitely makes some people i hang with in the mainstream sad or uncomfortable or feel sorry for me.
For 54 years i have consistently not made my bed, til this week. Slightly on a whim, slightly just to not be stuck in a pattern, i’ve started making my bed every day i use it. No promises on follow thru here, but it definitely does help induce the illusion that the room is tidy, which gives some strange small satisfaction.
i am not a light weight, my dear. you were clearly the one drunk as we were watching annie hall. 🙂 and i enjoyed every second of it. especially finding my own things hidden amongst yours.
i sit corrected. One of us is a lightweight and that is the boy with the hard lemonaides
Fake! This can’t be your room, this is any of a hotel, but not yor room 😀
@Adel – busted. You are so right. :-*
Oh, I like to make the bed. It looks nice and finished, and it’s good to get into when the day is done. Assuming you have a bed, it costs nothing. The 7:00-a.m.-Sean makes the bed, and the 11:00-p.m.-Sean is gets to fold down the covers and get into it. It’s like I gave myself a little present.
I am shitting myself. You, making YOUR OWN bed? No way!!!!!
you’re too young for incontinence, my love. get used to it
hahaha, great response Pax.
I like how you conveniently connect “mainstream” with not throwing your clothes on the floor – There was always something for me about the bed being made, a sense of calm in the chaos…I do want to acknowledge that sometimes you did make our bed just because I liked it. Thanks!
@Z – And i with some regularity make Hawina’s bed, which i sleep in often because she likes it. But my own bed (when i am not sharing it with someone as lovely as you) is much more rare. i am bemused by this thread of personal set of comments, but i should not be.
