‘Early returns look promising’. hmmmmmm, wondering if they are looking promising to the tigers and elephants and so forth. I don’t recall the prophecies saying that life on Earth would end, only history- which has a distinctly human flavor to it. I’m guessing our fellow species are rooting real hard the other way! 🙂

My god, who has this child been hanging out with? “Disinclined?” Start your child on a diet of video games and Transformers, or your child may go to University early.

Willow has no shortage of video games and transformers in his life. And he has a pretty extraoridinary, if anarchistic home schooling situation. @David – it would not take much for me to root for the tiger and elephants. But the clock does not determine if we have miraculous world changing events – we do. And i am happy to see that part of your new work as a climate change activist has brought you to this page. So let’s be propositional – what does it take for us to dodge climate change ? I personally think it requires a big movement to intentional communities, perhaps like the one i live in – and there are many otehr models.

Reporting from the frontlines in New Zealand: Sun is setting on a magnificent summers day. However all young children under the age of seven were incredibly grumpy. It could be the heat (28C)…or it could be they sense changes we so called grownups are oblivious to. But lets not wait for change to happen, lets make it happen.
